Thanh Xuân -

Local authorities to determine difficulties facing projects and provide solutions.

The Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment plans to inspect 64 foreign-invested projects in the capital from the second to fourth quarters of this year and identify obstacles in implementation.

Some 17 economic organizations that have capital contributed by foreign investors will also be inspected.

Projects under scrutiny include real estate projects such as Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower in Nam Tu Liem district, Grand Plaza Hanoi Hotel in Cau Giay district, a project of the Millard Meeting Services Vietnam Ltd. Co in Hoan Kiem district, and the Hanil project in Cau Giay.

Inspections are also expected to help local authorities quickly identify difficulties for investment projects and introduce solutions and support for investors and business organizations.

The plan also targets improving the effectiveness of investment projects and the activities of foreign-invested economic organizations and aligning them with local socio-economic development goals and directions.

It also looks to strengthen the sense of responsibility among investors and foreign-invested economic organizations in complying with investment laws and relevant regulations in their investment and business activities.
