HCMC Export Trade Fair on horizon

Some 170 enterprises have registered to showcase export products at the Ho Chi Minh City Export Forum and Trade Fair 2023 from May 25-28.

With the theme “Green Connectivity - Green Export”, the Fair will focus on introducing seven types of products posting export turnover of over $3 billion such as wood and wood products, food, rubber, plastic, electronics, mechanics, garments and textiles, and footwear.

It is aimed at helping local businesses introduce their brands and products to international partners, to strengthen trade connections and expand markets, Director of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade Bui Ta Hoang Vu told a press briefing on May 17.

“We target attracting 8,000 visitors,” he went on. “Thousands of foreign visitors have registered to attend, including those from India, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the US, Taiwan (China), and Pakistan.”

As part of the Fair, forums on strengthening links towards green exports will be held, updating attendees on green consumption trends in major import markets and promoting a green export strategy to help increase the competitive advantages of the business community in improving order value and expanding markets.
