A series of three seminars focusing on enhancing the role of Vietnamese missions abroad in effectively supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in participating in the international market will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Hanoi.
The first seminar will commence on December 26 in Ho Chi Minh City with discussions and working sessions, followed by the others in Da Nang on December 28 and in Hanoi on December 30.
The goal of this event series is to strengthen the proactiveness, connectivity, and support role of Vietnamese missions abroad, enabling SMEs to effectively participate in the international market.
This initiative aims to contribute to economic recovery and the reconnection of supply chains post-COVID-19. It will also lay a foundation for a unified and regular support channel for SMEs through overseas missions and enhance the capacity of Vietnamese missions abroad to make recommendations and assist local authorities in policy formulation.
According to the organizer—the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs—despite active efforts to promote cooperation, SME support activities have faced limitations due to small-scale projects, lack of widespread impact, and limited resources.
