Kien Giang approves real estate projects

Fifty-five projects in Mekong Delta province gain approval.

Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial People’s Committee Lam Minh Thanh has signed Decision No. 2329 approving a list of real estate projects in the Mekong Delta province in the 2021-2025 period.

Under the Decision, there are 55 projects, classified by group, including those using land, those in the form of socialization, and those calling for investment.

There are three projects on the list of investment projects using land: the new urban area in the east of Giong Rieng district, the new urban area in the west of Giong Rieng district, and the residential area in Nam An Hoa - Rach Gia city. Total investment in these projects is VND400 billion ($17.57 million), VND235 billion ($10.33 million), and VND658 billion ($28.91 million), respectively

There are seven investment projects in the form of socialization. Five are in the field of culture and sports, one in rural water supply in Hoa An commune, and one in the environment field in Thanh Yen commune.

The list of projects calling for investment includes 45 projects, focusing on eight localities: Rach Gia city and the districts of Chau Thanh, An Bien, Giong Rieng, Go Quao, Hon Dat, An Minh, and U Minh Thuong.

There are nine fields, including tourism, trade, the environment, urban and rural water, industrial production, industrial infrastructure, housing and urban development, education and training, and culture and sports.

The Provincial People’s Committee has assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to coordinate with relevant units to carry out promotional activities, call for investment, create the necessary conditions, support investors in accessing information, and organize contractor selection.
