AboitizPower, a leading Philippine energy company under the Aboitiz Group, is looking to invest in Vietnam’s electricity sector, spanning both traditional and renewable energy, according to its President and CEO Danel C. Aboitiz.

Speaking during a recent meeting with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung in Hanoi, Mr. Aboitiz said the company aims to gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s priorities and development orientations for the energy industry.

Deputy PM Dung welcomed the Philippine group’s interest in Vietnam’s renewable energy market, particularly as the country accelerates its energy transition and green economic growth.

He also encouraged AboitizPower to expand into other areas where it has expertise, including through mergers and acquisitions in sectors such as animal feed production, agriculture, food, finance and banking, and infrastructure.

The Deputy PM reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to creating favorable conditions for both domestic and foreign investors to operate efficiently, sustainably, and over the long term in Vietnam.
