PSL Machinery, Vietnam’s leading manufacturer of cashew processing solutions, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Government of Tanzania aimed at transforming the country’s cashew sector.
The deal, inked through the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania, will bring advanced processing technology, local workforce training, and sustainable, high-value production capacity to one of Africa’s top cashew-producing nations.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior Tanzanian officials, PSL Machinery executives, and representatives from major cashew cooperatives, including Tandahimba Newala Cooperative Union (TANECU), Masasi Mtwara Cooperative Union (MAMCU), and Ruangwa Nachingwea Liwale Cooperative Union (RUNALI). Under the agreement, Tanzania will directly import machinery and technology from PSL Machinery, securing state-of-the-art processing lines that meet international standards.

“This is not just a business deal, it is the start of a shared journey,” said Mr. Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Aloyce D. Mwanjile ndc, Chairman of the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania. “By bringing PSL Machinery’s proven technology and expertise to Tanzania, we are building more than processing plants; we are building capacity, creating jobs, and unlocking the full value of Tanzanian cashews for the global market.”

With over two decades of experience delivering turnkey cashew processing solutions in multiple countries, PSL Machinery says it is well-placed to support Tanzania’s industrial ambitions. Its product range includes high-speed automatic shelling machines with minimal wastage, precision drying systems, optical sorters, and fully automated packaging lines - equipment the company says can boost productivity by up to 50%, reduce costs, and meet stringent export requirements.

The agreement goes beyond supplying equipment. PSL Machinery will provide end-to-end support, including factory layout design, technology transfer, workforce training, and ongoing technical assistance. The company says this holistic approach will help ensure operational excellence and long-term sustainability for Tanzania’s cashew industry.
The partnership reflects a commitment to shared growth, industrial development, and cross-continental cooperation. By marrying Vietnam’s technological know-how with Tanzania’s agricultural strengths, both parties aim to create a stronger, more competitive African cashew industry capable of thriving in global markets.
