The Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has issued documents directing the strengthening of the management over and promoting the development of the local housing and real estate market, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring social security and macro-economic stability. Besides the positive results, the development of the real estate sector still bears many shortcomings, limitations, and inadequacies, lacking sustainability and exhibiting risks. Thanh Hoa has therefore offered solutions to promote the safe, healthy, and sustainable development of the sector.
The Ministry of Construction has held a conference appraising adjustments to the master plan for Hai Duong city in the northern province of the same name to 2040. The master plan aims to develop Hai Duong using new development trends in the context of international integration and globalization, exploit and bring into full play its potential and advantages in geographic location, culture, and human resources for rapid and sustainable development, turn it into a green, smart city, and reach the criteria for becoming a Class 1 urban area.
Chu Lai Port in central Quang Nam province - the gateway to trade in goods in the central region - is promoting trade services in bulk cargo. To improve its competitiveness and become a hub for domestic and international trade, the port has upgraded its infrastructure, built logistics solutions, and invested in specialized equipment and technology.
The Prime Minister has outlined six key solutions to develop a synchronous, efficient, and integrated science and technology market, such as mobilizing maximum resources from the private and international sectors, creating favorable conditions for businesses to quickly join the global value chain and dominate the international market, and linking the development of the domestic market with global and regional markets, in line with Vietnam’s international commitments and international practices.
Figures from the Da Nang Statistics Office show that the central city recorded high socio-economic growth in the first nine months of 2022. Its gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth was estimated at 16.76 per cent year-on-year, with the service sector rising 21.69 per cent, the industry-construction sector 7.83 per cent, and the industrial sector 9.09 per cent. Da Nang’s economic recovery continues apace.
Vietnam welcomed 71.8 million visitors in the first seven months of 2022, exceeding the annual target. There were only 954,600 international arrivals, however, or just 15 per cent of the targeted 5 million for the year. One solution to increase international tourist numbers is to apply multiple entry and exit visas valid for 30 days, instead of 15 days as currently.
General Director of Vietnam Railways Dang Sy Manh told the 42nd ASEAN Railway Directors General Meeting, held in Da Nang from August 23 to 25, that Vietnam’s railway development orientation is to promote freight transport and open international links.
On July 22, the Lac Duong District People’s Committee forwarded Report No. 104 to the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee requesting appraisal and approval of tasks and cost estimates for the Da Sar - Da Nhim eco-tourism and luxury resort project in the central highlands’ province. The resort is to be built on an area of 467.56 hectares.
