Trade turnover reached over $558 billion in the first nine months of 2022, up 15.1 per cent year-on-year. Exports totaled $282.52 billion, up 17.3 per cent, and imports $276 billion, up 13 per cent. Trade was therefore in surplus, by $6.52 billion.
The Ministry of Finance has said that total State budget revenue reached VND106 trillion ($4.48 billion) in August, a fall of VND46 billion ($1.94 billion) compared to July. Revenue increased in the first eight months, however, by 19.4 per cent year-on-year and posted a surplus of more than VND250 trillion ($10.56 billion).
Figures from the General Department of Vietnam Customs show that total trade turnover reached $499.71 billion in the first eight months of 2022, an increase of $68.69 billion, or 15.9 per cent, compared to the same period last year. Exports totaled nearly $252.6 billion, up 18.2 per cent, and imports $247.11 billion, up 18.2 per cent. Trade was therefore in surplus to the tune of $5.49 billion in the period.
Total export turnover came in at $250.8 billion in the first eight months of this year and import value $246.84 billion. Trade was therefore in surplus, to the tune of $3.96 billion. Thirty items posted export turnover in excess of $1 billion, or 91.8 per cent of total turnover. The US continues to be Vietnam’s largest export market, with turnover of $77.7 billion.
