Vietjet Air was named “Asia’s Leading Airline for Customer Experience 2023” at the 30th Annual World Travel Awards in Ho Chi Minh City on September 6, in the presence of international thought leaders and experts in the aviation, travel, and tourism sectors.

The World Travel Awards (WTA) were established in 1993 and are hailed globally as acknowledging, rewarding, and celebrating excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries. “As a rapidly growing airline, Vietjet has carved out a distinct position for itself in a competitive aviation market,” said Mr. Graham Cooke, Founder of the WTA.

“With its focus on convenience, and with attractive marketing campaigns to benefit customers, powered by innovation and creativity, Vietjet has gained a reputation for enhancing the overall passenger travel experience,” he went on. “Having flown on many Vietjet flights, I can personally attest to the excellent service and delicious in-flight catering. It is a well-deserved win.”

Vietjet has recently won favor as it provides domestic and international passengers with the complimentary SkyCare travel insurance package, offering comprehensive coverage of up to VND100 million (nearly $4,200). The carrier has also introduced a premium Business Class service on wide-body aircraft, featuring comfy flat-bed seats and exceptional culinary experiences throughout the flight. The recently launched SkyJoy loyalty program has also gained popularity, with nearly 9 million members.

In addition to affordable tickets, Vietjet has also introduced a range of diverse products and services, such as a “Fly Now - Pay Later” program, travel credit cards, and various attractive promotional incentives to popular destinations in Vietnam, Australia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Thailand, and elsewhere.

Mr. Michael Hickey, Chief Operating Officer at Vietjet Air, said this recognition is another milestone for Vietjet as it expands its international footprint. “Our sincere gratitude goes to our customers for their trust, companionship, and support throughout the journey to winning this award,” he said. “As an innovative carrier, Vietjet is committed to making continuous efforts, offering a more enjoyable travel experience to customers by catering to different demands with exceptional utilities.”

Vietjet Air’s recognition at the WTA comes after it was honored with other prestigious international awards from renowned organizations such as Skytrax, World Business Outlook, and AirlineRatings.
