 Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien meets U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick in Washington D.C., sharing view that Vietnam and the U.S. are highly complementary economies and have great potential for further cooperation.

Reviewing the outcomes of the second round of negotiations between  Vietnam and the US  on a bilateral agreement on reciprocal trade,  Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged the proactive engagement of the US side and highlighted Vietnam’s multi-tiered, flexible, and diverse efforts.

Speaking at the National Assembly’s group discussion on May 23, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called for accelerating digital transformation and green transition as new growth drivers.

According to the Prime Minister’s Dispatch No.69/CD-TTg, dated May 22, 2025, all business-related administrative procedures must be processed online by the end of 2025.

The center must be a “free and equal playing field", according to the Prime Minister.

The three-day talks were conducted in a spirit of goodwill, straightforwardness, and respect for each other’s institutional frameworks.
