A Strategic Framework for Sustainable Development Cooperation (CF) between the Vietnamese Government and all UN resident and non-resident agencies in the country for the 2022-2026 period was signed in Hanoi on August 11. This will support cooperation between Vietnam and the UN on accelerating progress to reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

State budget revenue in the first seven months of this year has been estimated at nearly VND1.09 quadrillion ($46.6 billion), up 18 per cent year-on-year and representing 77.5 per cent of the annual estimate.

At the 14th session of the National Assembly on August 10, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh said that the government will continue to direct the implementation of the Law on Cybersecurity and perfect the legal framework on crime prevention and control using high technology.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision on August 10 establishing an Appraisal Council for the National Master Plan for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2050, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh and with the Ministry of Planning and Investment as the standing agency.

At a national conference with businesses on August 11, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the government will listen to suggestions from the business community to resolve issues and to contribute to socio-economic development and the sustainable development of enterprises.

At a trade promotion conference entitled “Hanoi - Vientiane (Laos) Cooperation for mutual development” held on August 10, the two sides affirmed that promoting trade and investment promotion and connecting businesses to potential partners in fields where the two sides have strengths is the goal in the time to come.
