KBSV maintains 2022 CPI forecast of 3.8%

Data from the General Statistics Office shows that the CPI in June rose 3.18 per cent compared to December 2021. KBSV estimates that CPI in July will increase 0.6-0.7 per cent compared to June, and maintains its annual forecast of 3.8 per cent.

Economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Turkmenistan holds a great deal of potential but remains modest. At the Vietnam - Turkmenistan Business Forum, held by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on June 29, the Chamber recommended the establishment of various forms of cooperation, such as joint venture enterprises between the two countries in various fields to expand to markets in member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

MoIC sets e-government and digital economy targets

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) has set a target that, by 2025, Vietnam’s e-government index, as ranked by the UN, will be among the four leading countries in ASEAN. Vietnam is also to have a safety and security index in the global network that is among the top 40 countries. The proportion of the digital economy in GDP is to reach 20 per cent, with the proportion of the digital economy in each industry and field to reach at least 10 per cent. By 2030, the construction of a digital government is to be completed.
