A $600 million electronic components manufacturing plant broke ground in Vietnam's northern Ninh Binh Province on May 22, marking a significant step in the country's efforts to attract high-tech investment and strengthen its position in global supply chains.
The project is being developed by AVC Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Taiwan (China)-based AVC Group, according to a report by the Vietnam News Agency.
Located at Kim Bang 1 Industrial Park, the facility will cover more than 461,000 square meters and is designed with an annual production capacity of over 84 million units.
The plant will manufacture advanced cooling solutions for servers, including cooling fans, heat sinks, cooling plates, and liquid cooling systems, alongside related components such as server chassis, hinges, sliding rails, floating joints, and quick connectors.
Construction and equipment installation are expected to be completed before January 2027, when the facility is scheduled to begin operations.
AVC previously launched its AVC 1 plant in 2020 at Dong Van 3 Industrial Park in Ninh Binh, with an investment of $400 million. Once all projects are completed, AVC’s total investment in Vietnam is expected to reach approximately $1 billion, underscoring the country’s growing appeal as a regional manufacturing hub.
