A section of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway which  passes  through Binh Phuoc province  is projected to be completed by 2026.

The total investment for this segment is estimated at VND1.474 trillion (nearly $57.7 million), with VND1 trillion (nearly $39.2 million) sourced from the central budget and VND474 billion (over $18.56 million) from the provincial budget.

The entire Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway measures around 70 km. The Binh Phuoc Province section covers 6.6 km, the Binh Duong Province section stretches 52 km, and the remainder traverses Ho Chi Minh City.

Recognized as one of the 8 key national projects, this strategic transportation route has been acknowledged by the Prime Minister for its importance. It will significantly enhance connectivity to the Central Highlands and serve major industrial and manufacturing hubs in Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong, extending towards Ho Chi Minh City.
