The People’s Committee of Ha Tinh Province in central Vietnam  has officially issued a trade promotion plan for the 2026–2030 period, setting ambitious goals for international trade and digital integration.

Under the plan, the central province aims to achieve an annual provincial export turnover of $4 billion by 2030. A significant part of this strategy involves digitalizing local commerce, with a target of having 80% to 90% of "One Commune, One Product" (OCOP) items and typical rural industrial products featured on e-commerce platforms. The province also plans to gradually integrate these products into modern domestic and international distribution networks.

To realize these objectives, Ha Tinh will organize or support local businesses in participating in 50 to 60 domestic trade fairs, exhibitions, and trade promotion events between 2026 and 2030. The province also aims to join 10 to 15 business matching conferences in key markets.

Globally, Ha Tinh plans to participate in four to five international exhibitions combined with market survey and trade connection trips in countries including Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, China, Japan, and other potential markets.

A core pillar of the plan is the enhancement of human resources dedicated to trade promotion. The province has committed to providing training in e-commerce, digital business skills, and digital transformation for 100% of trade promotion officials and over 70% of local businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities.

On an annual basis, Ha Tinh will host one to two trade fairs and exhibitions, alongside the provincial Orange Festival and showcases for other signature local products. Furthermore, the province will organize one to two supply-demand connection conferences to bridge the gap between local producers and major supermarket chains, shopping centers, convenience stores, and e-commerce platforms.
