Under pressure to meet deadlines and complete targets in 2025, Ninh Binh province in northern Vietnam is focusing resources and mobilizing the coordination of departments, agencies, and businesses to accelerate social housing projects.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh led a working group to inspect the construction progress of social housing projects in the province on October 4. The inspection aimed to push implementation progress, resolve difficulties during execution, and work towards completing the assigned targets for 2025.

During the working program, the Ministry of Construction's delegation surveyed a social housing project intended for staff and doctors of Bach Mai Hospital's branch in Liem Tuyen ward. The project, with a total investment of over VND284 billion ($10.87million), is being implemented from 2025–2027 and is currently in the foundation construction phase.

Another key project inspected by the delegation was the Hoa Lu social housing area. This project covers more than 5 hectares and includes 6 apartment blocks, each 15 stories high, totaling 1,250 units, with a total investment of over VND1.976 trillion (nearly $75 million). The project has received investment policy approval and is currently implementing its site leveling and experimental pile drilling phase.

According to Mr. Tran Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the province has been assigned a target of developing 4,461 social housing units. To date, Ninh Binh has completed 2,036 units, accounting for nearly 46% of the plan. The province aims to complete the remaining 2,425 units in the last three months of the year, thereby largely fulfilling the assigned target for 2025.
