Vietnam’s pepper exports continued to post strong growth in the first ten months of 2025, generating nearly $1.4 billion from 206,427 tons, according to a report from the Vietnam News Agency.
Despite a 5.9% decline in export volume, export value rose 25.4% year-on-year, driven largely by higher global prices and strong demand in key markets, according to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA).
The US remained Vietnam’s largest buyer, purchasing 44,262 tons, equivalent to 21.4% of the total exports. Other major markets included the UAE, China, India, and Germany.
In October alone, Vietnam exported 19,430 tons of pepper—16,464 tons of black and 2,966 tons of white—with a total export value of $129.5 million.
Average export prices remained elevated at $6,443 per ton for black pepper and $8,392 per ton for white pepper, reflecting continued tight supply in major producing countries.
