PM proposes Romania’s informatics institute boost cooperation with Vietnam

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed that Romania’s National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) enhance its cooperation with Vietnam, during a visit to the Institute on January 21 as part of his official trip to the European country, the Government News has reported.

ICI Bucharest is a leading strategic research institute, with a history of more than 50 years in developing information technology human resources.

Emphasizing the importance of digital transformation, Prime Minister Chinh suggested that it consider Vietnam a priority partner in its expanded international cooperation and help the country train human resources in the field.

He encouraged Vietnamese and Romanian experts to jointly research and develop cooperative projects, especially in the fields of AI, cyber security, and the application of information technology in various areas.

The two countries’ cooperation in informatics and information technology will create new opportunities and contribute to promoting relations, he added.

On this occasion, ICI Bucharest and the Vietnam National Institute of Digital Technology and Digital Transformation exchanged an MoU on cooperation.
