State President Luong Cuong has called on the US business community to broaden and deepen their investment in Vietnam, aiming to usher in a new era of bilateral cooperation.
The President made the appeal during a meeting with American businesses in New York on September 23 (local time), held as part of his working trip to the United States where he attended the 80th United Nations General Assembly High-Level Debate and related bilateral activities.
He affirmed that Vietnam will create the most favorable conditions for US investors to conduct long-term business in the country.
The event gathered senior executives and representatives of major US corporations, including Vantive, Amazon, Apple, AES, Amway, Boeing, Excelerate Energy, Warburg Pincus, The Asia Group, Excel Services Corporation, Atlas Air, Meta, and Coca-Cola, among others.
American business leaders praised Vietnam’s impressive socio-economic progress and voiced confidence in the country’s potential as an attractive destination for global investors.
Since the normalization of diplomatic ties 30 years ago, economic, trade, and investment relations have become a key pillar of Vietnam–US cooperation, President Cuong noted.
Bilateral trade between the two countries reached nearly $140 billion in 2024.
