North-central Thanh Hoa province posted export turnover of $613.14 million in January, a year-on-year increase of 94.3 per cent, according to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.
The figure also represents growth of 9.3 per cent compared to December.
Key export items included garments and textiles, footwear, wooden products, fruit, and surimi (fish paste).
Meanwhile, it imported products worth $880.21 million in January, a year-on-year surge of 36.3 per cent.
The total retail sales of goods and services reached VND17.150 trillion ($705.7 million), a 4.6 per cent increase compared to January last year.
The province posted trade value of $13 billion in 2023, including $8.47 billion from exports.
It had 212 enterprises exporting products to 68 markets.
