A Chinese business delegation with nearly 100 units, and 47 booths participated in the ongoing Autumn Fair - 2025, the firrst of its kind, which is running from October 25 until November 4 in Hanoi, opening up more cooperation opportunities for businesses of the two countries.
Participating in the fair, Vietnamese businesses gain many benefits, not only in terms of goods trade but also in technology transfer, investment cooperation in production, and advancement of domestic value chains. Fields such as agricultural product processing, supporting industries, green production, and digital transformation are opening up clear cooperation opportunities with Chinese enterprises, which have strengths in technology and scale.
Mr. Le Hoang Tai, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that this is an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to directly access supply sources, technology, machinery, and materials - essential factors for production transformation, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
Mr. Li Zhenmin, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, said that in the context of reshaping the regional supply chains, trade promotion events help businesses on both sides make the most of their geographical proximity, cultural similarities and high complementarity in production. "The top leaders of the two Parties and the two States attach importance to effectively utilizing trade promotion activities to expand markets and increase substantive cooperation," he emphasized.
According to data from the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, the two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and China in the first 9 months of 2025 reached $184.04 billion, an increase of 23 per cent over the same period in 2024,
In particular, exports of Vietnamese agricultural products are said to be growing well in China. In the opposite direction, Vietnam imports from China machinery, industrial equipment, raw materials, consumer goods and electronic components, among others.
Within the framework of the Autumn Fair - 2025, at a Conference on Trade Promotion, Investment and Business Connection between Vietnam and China held on October 27, Mr. Tai emphasized that the import-export turnover between Vietnam and China is the clearest proof of the effectiveness of cooperation. "Trade promotion is a bridge that helps businesses of the two countries turn potential into real opportunities," he added.
Under the government's direction, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has closely coordinated with China's Shandong Province's International Trade Promotion Committee and many Chinese agencies to organize a series of fairs, exhibitions, and connection conferences. As a result, Vietnamese businesses have not only expanded their partner networks but also diversified their markets, reducing dependence on traditional markets.
