HCMC leaders meet with foreign businesses

At their meeting with the Foreign Business Association 2022 on May 20, Ho Chi Minh City leaders said the city will introduce a digital platform next month to connect the business community and will regularly hold meetings to quickly resolve the difficulties enterprises face. According to the Department of Planning and Investment, Ho Chi Minh City has 197 projects calling for investment and hopes to attract FDI in depth more so than breadth and that applies modern and eco-friendly technology.

On May 20, at a meeting with the Speaker of the Singaporean Parliament Tan Chuan-Jin, who is visiting Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the country has long been one of Vietnam’s leading partners in the region and largest investor in ASEAN. Japan supporting Vietnam in renewing carbon emissions cycle with natural rubber

The “Innovation in science and technology of natural rubber for the global carbon cycle” project will be implemented in Vietnam for five years, from 2022 to 2027. Funded by Japanese ODA through the Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) and implemented by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), the project focuses on developing advanced technologies to establish a large-scale protein-free natural rubber production process in Vietnam.
