Vietnam exported more than 412,700 tons of cashew nuts in the first seven months of 2025, generating $2.8 billion in revenue, according to Vietnam Customs.
The figures marked a 2.6% decline in volume but an 18.3% increase in value year-on-year, as a result of higher export prices. The average export price during the period was estimated at $6,805 per ton, up 21.4% from a year earlier.
In July alone, Vietnam shipped 67,980 tons of cashews worth $460.1 million, representing growth of 1.3% in volume and 11.1% in value compared with July 2024.
China, the US, and the Netherlands remained the top three buyers, accounting for 22.4%, 20.3%, and 9.1% of total exports, respectively. Japan posted the highest growth rate, with imports of Vietnamese cashews soaring 49.2% year-on-year.
For 2025, the cashew sector has set an export target of $4.5 billion.
