Vietnam exported nearly 1.24 million tons of coffee in the first nine months of 2025, earning a record of $7.01 billion, surpassing the total value of $5.62 billion recorded for the whole of 2024, according to Vietnam Customs.
The figures represent year-on-year increases of 12% in volume and 62% in value, reflecting both higher export prices and strong global demand.
In September alone, the country shipped 81,000 tons of coffee worth $462 million, up 58% in volume and 61% in value compared to the same month last year.
The average export price in the nine-month period reached $5,655 per ton, a sharp 45.2% rise year-on-year.
Germany, Italy, and Spain remained Vietnam’s three largest coffee importers, accounting for 13.9%, 7.5%, and 7.5% of total export value, respectively.
