Vietnam recorded total foreign trade value of around $155.7 billion in the first two months of 2026, marking a year-on-year increase of 22.2%, according to the National Statistics Office.
In February alone, total trade was estimated at $67.16 billion, surging 5.1% year-on-year. Of which, exports contributed $33.06 billion.
In the first two months, export turnover reached $76.36 billion, soaring 18.3% compared to the same period last year. Thirteen exported commodities earned over $1 billion each, and four over $5 billion each.
Meanwhile, import value was estimated at $79.34 billion, up 26.3% year-on-year, resulting in a trade deficit of $2.98 billion.
In January-February, the US was the largest importer of Vietnam's goods with $23.8 billion, while China was the country's largest supplier with $31.9 billion.
