A groundbreaking ceremony for a high-tech electronic equipment packaging paper plant was held on June 7 at the Khanh Phu Industrial Park in Dong Hoa Lu Ward, northern Ninh Binh Province, according to a news report by Vietnam News Agency.

The facility represents a total investment of VND3,050 billion (around $116 million) and is being built on an 11-ha site. With a planned capacity of 360,000 tons per year, the facility will be equipped with modern, highly automated production lines imported from Europe, the United States, China, and other technologically advanced nations.

Once operational, the plant, invested by Ninh Binh GDT Joint Stock Company, will supply high-quality paper products to both domestic and export markets.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Ninh Binh Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Parks, Bui Duy Quang, stated that the commencement of the project marks the start of a large-scale industrial venture. He emphasized that it serves as a vivid testament to the business community's confidence in Ninh Binh’s investment environment.

The project aligns with the province’s investment attraction strategy, contributing to the development of supporting industries and strengthening the supply chain for the electronics and high-tech sectors. It is also expected to provide a new catalyst for the province's industrial growth in the coming years.
