Authorities in Khanh Hoa province in central Vietnam have proposed construction of a coastal road connecting Cam Ranh Airport with major economic zones in the province’s southern region.
Under the proposal, the route will span 25 kilometers, including a 4-kilometer sea-crossing bridge. It will feature a roadbed width of 20.5–27 meters and six lanes.
The project has an estimated total investment of VND10 trillion ($380 million), to be sourced from both central and local state budgets.
Once completed, the coastal route is expected to serve as a strategic transport corridor, enhancing connectivity between Cam Ranh Airport and Khanh Hoa’s southern economic zones.
The project is also anticipated to stimulate socio-economic development, tourism, and coastal services, while improving disaster response and strengthening national defense and security across the country's South Central Coastal region.
