The Nghe An provincial People’s Committee, together with investors, broke ground on the Nghe An Waste-to-Energy Plant in Hai Loc Commune and held a technical groundbreaking ceremony for the La Brise Resort in Tan Mai Ward on August 19.

The two projects have a combined investment of more than VND6.15 trillion ($234 million).

The Nghe An Waste-to-Energy Plant is being developed by Galax JSC, a member of AMACCAO Group, with total investment exceeding VND4 trillion.

The plant will have a waste treatment capacity of 1,500 tons per day and generate 30 MW of electricity. It will apply advanced technology to process municipal solid waste, reduce landfill use and convert waste into energy.

Once completed, the facility is expected to be the largest waste-to-energy plant in central Vietnam and among the largest of its kind in the country.

Meanwhile, the La Brise Resort in Tan Mai Ward is being developed by Sunwin One-Member Co., Ltd. The project covers approximately 217.75 hectares and has total investment of VND2.15 trillion. It is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2029.
