In addition to a proposal to re-open Na San Airport after nearly 20 years of closure, northern Son La province also wants to build Moc Chau Airport, with total investment of VND6.5 trillion ($277.3 million) under the PPP model. Public investment capital going to transport infrastructure in Binh Dinh

According to the Ministry of Transport, the government is prioritizing the allocation of more than VND9.7 trillion ($410.8 million) of medium-term public investment capital to invest in three transitional projects from the previous phase and start six new projects that will upgrade sections of transport infrastructure passing through south-central Binh Dinh province. The three transitional projects from the previous phase include a project to strengthen traffic connections in the central highlands, complete essential railway works on the Vinh - Nha Trang line, and upgrade poor bridges and pillars on the North - South railway line. The six new projects include sections from Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon, and Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh of the new North-South Expressway, National Highway No. 19, expanding National Highway No. 1, and renovating and upgrading the Vinh - Nha Trang railway line.
