The Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has approved a series of land use plans for 2021 and in the 2021-2030 period.

The total natural area for land use planning in districts including Muong Lat, Ba Thuoc, Quan Hoa, Thuong Xuan, Thach Thanh, Trieu Son, Quang Xuong, and Ngoc Lac, etc. stands at nearly 580,000 ha.

Plans for 2021 include the construction of roads in Trieu Son district, the Sao Mai urban area, the Hop Thang industrial cluster, and the Dan Luc industrial cluster, among others. Quang Xuong district also has a number of works and projects, such as a new urban residential area project, rural residential areas in communes, the Nham Thach industrial cluster, and the Cong Truc industrial cluster, etc.

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee has assigned the People’s Committees of districts to organize the implementation of land use planning for 2021 and in the 2021-2030 period in accordance with land use standards and the requirements of socio-economic development, while ensuring national defense and security in the locality.

The Provincial People’s Committee has also assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to lead and coordinate with relevant units in monitoring and supervising the process of implementing and organizing the implementation of land use planning in many districts to ensure the effectiveness of such plans. It is also necessary to encourage people to use land economically and efficiently and improve any imbalance in land use around the province.
