Discussions at the annual Vietnam Economic Scenario Forum 2024 confirm that Vietnam acknowledges and renews its existing growth drivers while also promoting new drivers to contribute to national development in the future, according to Dr. Chu Van Lam, Editor-in-Chief of VnEconomy / Vietnam Economic Times.
He made the statement while delivering a closing address to the Vietnam Economic Scenario Forum 2024, which was jointly organized by VnEconomy / Vietnam Economic Times (VET) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in Hanoi on January 11, with the theme “Promoting mechanisms and policies, vigorously implementing new growth drivers”.
The Forum touched on the international context, which poses unpredictable risks but also offers many development opportunities, he said.
It heard insights on Vietnam’s economy in 2023 and discussions in two key sessions with the themes “The new global context - Challenges and new growth drivers for Vietnam” and “Boosting mechanisms and policies to unlock internal drivers and new growth drivers”.
“We will continue to work with leaders of associations and businesses to convey opinions shared at the forum with the public and management agencies,” Dr. Lam said.
VnEconomy / VET and MoFA will prepare a summary report for submission to authorized agencies as information for economic management and direction.
Enterprises can draw experience from the Forum and identify new steps to promote development and contribute to national economic growth, he added.
