State President works with Ben Tre leaders

While working with leaders from the Mekong Delta’s Ben Tre province on July 1, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc said its economy is recovering and many signs of improvement can be seen, with gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increasing 4.18 per cent in the first half of 2022. He also pointed to a number of areas where the province needs to give priority in development, and added that it is necessary to turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector and effectively exploit the potential of the local marine economy.

The central highlands has an important strategic location in terms of economy, politics, and national defense and security for the country as a whole and the Indochina region and especially for Greater Mekong Sub-Region cooperation, according to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
