Dak Lak province, central Vietnam, has proposed three strategic pillars for cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE): energy security, food security, and green economic development integrated with digital transformation, reported Radio the Voice of Vietnam.
The proposal was made during a working session on May 4 between Provincial People's Committee chairman Do Huu Huy and a delegation from the UAE embassy in Vietnam to discuss and orient cooperation for the coming period.
Regarding energy, Dak Lak aims to research and develop a regional energy storage and distribution hub.
In terms of agriculture, the province highlighted its advantage of having vast raw material areas for coffee, seafood, and high-tech agriculture—all of which meet the requirements for building a high-quality Halal food supply chain.
Dak Lak called on UAE investors to participate in planning specialized agricultural zones and committed to allocating land funds and offering preferential policies to become a strategic supplier for the UAE market.
In parallel, Dak Lak proposed collaboration on developing data centers and Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects powered by renewable energy, creating a foundation for digital transformation and a green economy.
The UAE delegation highly valued Dak Lak’s development potential, particularly in the fields of energy, agriculture, and technology. They expressed a strong desire to promote connectivity and soon concretize these investment opportunities.
Both sides agreed to maintain communication, research the establishment of a joint working group, and organize field surveys to realize these cooperative contents in the near future.
