The City People's Committee has assigned local departments and agencies to research and develop policies to support investors with the construction of technical and social infrastructure within the Free Trade Zone.

The fund is aimed at investment in building, operating and managing social housing projects.

The province is home to several major economic hubs, including the Lao Bao Special Economic - Commercial Area and the Southeast Quang Tri Coastal Economic Zone.

The selling price of some projects hitting VND91 million ($3,460) per square meter.

The project site spans over 1.43 million sq.m and is located within the administrative boundaries of Thuong Cat and Tay Tuu wards and O Dien commune.

Long spoken of but difficult to execute, the construction of social housing has begun to yield tangible results in recent times though lingering issues remain.
