Industry remains a key pillar of the northern province's economic growth, with top priority given to developing green industrial clusters and eco-friendly craft village clusters.
The project's design and planning must be adjusted to align with Green Industrial Cluster standards, reflecting the sustainable development trend being encouraged nationwide.
The Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee has decided to establish the 25-ha Dong Son industrial cluster in Yen The district, with agricultural processing, forestry, electronics, garment, processing, manufacturing, and supporting industries. Under its planning, the province will have 65 industrial clusters on an area of more than 3,100 ha by 2030 and 29 industrial parks on an area of more than 7,800 ha.
South-central Binh Thuan province currently has 36 industrial clusters on a total area of nearly 1,200 ha and with more than 170 projects. To further develop the cluster, the province will issue a policy supporting investment in technical infrastructure.
Northern Hung Yen province has approved the detailed construction planning of the Yen My Industrial Cluster in Yen My district, on an area of 47.7 ha. The cluster will support the production of electronics and motor vehicles, the high-tech industry, and projects using energy saving, clean technology.
The Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee has approved the expansion of the Nghia Hoa industrial cluster and planning for the Doan Bai area, to catch the attention of real estate investors. With an area of 63.5 ha in the northern province, the industrial cluster includes industries such as garments, garment accessories, agro-forestry processing, electronic components, and supporting industries.
Many businesses and industrial clusters (ICs) have not yet finished general waste treatment works due to time-consuming and costly legal procedures. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will soon inspect and closely supervise ICs causing pollution and will handle those that are inefficient, violate the law, or unsuitable for actual local conditions. It has also directed that operating ICs complete investments in concentrated waste-water treatment works before January 1, 2024.
