The People’s Council of southern Dong Nai province has approved a resolution assigning authorised agencies to implement two bridge projects connecting the province with Ho Chi Minh City under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.

The Cat Lai Bridge project, to be carried out by the Dong Nai People’s Committee from 2025 to 2028, will span 11.6 km with a total investment of over VND20.52 trillion ($780 million).

Similarly, the Long Hung (Dong Nai 2) Bridge, also to be developed by the provincial People’s Committee during the same period,  will stretch 11.8 km and is estimated to cost VND11.758 trillion ($447 million).

Meanwhile, the Phu My 2 Bridge project, which will extend 14.8 km and require an investment of VND16.445 trillion ($625 million),   will be implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.  

According to  Dong Nai authorities, these projects align with the Southeast region’s development plan, aiming to improve transport capacity, enhance regional connectivity, facilitate travel and goods transportation, and boost socio-economic growth in both Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City.
