According to HSBC, the total value of GSS (green, social, and sustainability) bond issuances in Vietnam in 2021 was $1.5 billion; nearly five-fold higher than the $300 million posted in 2020, and growth will remain stable over the next three years. Vietnam is therefore the second-largest green bond market in ASEAN, after Singapore.

The Ministry of Information and Communications is developing a draft Strategy for digital transformation of the media to 2025 and vision to 2030, with the media developing towards multi-platform, multi-media, and multi-services. By 2030, 90 per cent of electronic media agencies will convert their operating mechanisms to a model of a converged, multi-media newsroom.

Within the framework of the National Tourism Year in central Quang Nam province, “TechFest Quang Nam 2022” is taking place from June 16 to 19, with more than 210 booths showcasing over 600 startup products. The exhibition is also a stepping stone for the province to host the National Innovation and Startup Year in 2023.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho high-speed railway line will be 174 km long and pass through six cities and provinces. The project is being accelerated, with specifications adjusted to reduce total investment to $7 billion. A pre-feasibility study report will be completed this year and submitted to the National Assembly for approval by 2024.

At a recent press conference held by the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Do Minh Tuan, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, announced impressive results for the province in the first half of 2022. The most notable was budget revenue of more than VND26 trillion ($1.1 billion), up 57 per cent year-on-year and representing 94 per cent of the annual plan.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has approved a plan to reduce and simplify regulations relating to business activities within the scope of the State management functions of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, with a roadmap for implementation from 2022 to 2025.
