From August 16 to 19, a Danish business delegation including 13 leading companies in the field of agriculture and food are holding working sessions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to exchange cooperative opportunities with potential partners in Vietnam. Vietnam is one of the first countries to participate in the “Strategic Sector Cooperation on Food Safety in the Pork Value Chain” (SSC) program initiated by Denmark.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has requested that from August 20 to 30 the government’s working groups on the disbursement of public investment capital inspect and encourage disbursement this year at a number of ministries, agencies, and localities.

Specific solutions to support the government in fulfilling the commitments made at COP26 regarding net-zero emissions as well as helping the country develop a circular economy were proposed at an August 16 conference on mobilizing resources for green and sustainable development goals.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has suggested that it is necessary to strengthen international cooperation in the conservation and sustainable development of national parks. At the same time, national park management need to be creative in attracting visitors, combining tourism and environmental education. The General Department of Forestry is now completing a project on developing eco-tourism, resorts, and entertainment at national parks in the 2021-2030 period.

To speed up the formulation of Capital Planning for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2050, the Hanoi People’s Committee assigned the Hanoi Institute for Socio-Economic Development Research to assume prime responsibility and coordinate with relevant units to continue reviewing and researching key strategic, inclusive, and comprehensive contents.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has signed Decision No. 964/QD-TTg approving the National Cybersecurity and Safety Strategy, proactively responding to challenges in cyberspace to 2025 and vision to 2030. The strategy initially aims for Vietnam to maintain a ranking in the range of 25th to 30th in the Cybersecurity and Safety Index, assessed by the International Telecommunications Union, by 2025.
